An attractive, small folio lithograph of New Orleans, showing the Mississippi River with numerous steam boats, sail boats and a barge with Lake Pontchartrain in the background.  There are eight keys above title: Lake Pontchartrain (in the distance), Mississippi River, Levee, St. Charles Hotel, Canal Street, Custom House, Jackson Square, Market. The two steamboats in the center right are marked as the Robt. E. Lee and Natchez.   This is a somewhat differing image from the more common Currier and Ives New Orleans city views (The City of New Orleans and the Mississippi River, Lake Pontchartrain in Distance [and] The Mississippi at New Orleans...).
