This very nice map of northwestern Italy, part of France and Switzerland is bounded by Geneva in the north (depicted along the top border of the map), Grenoble in the west, the Gulf of Genoa in the south, and Milan and Lake District (Maggiore, Lugano, Como) in the east. There is great detail of towns, roads, and rivers. The day’s political boundaries are color-coded. The decorative title cartouche features Athena, goddess of war and wisdom, and two royal figures.
