1885 British Admiralty Chart of San Francisco Harbor
A fantastic and rare British Admiralty nautical map of the San Francisco Bay area.  It shows the many soundings in fantoms.  Topographical details of the land area, along with elevations of the hillsare are offered.  Both San Francisco and Oakland are shown as well.  Two vignettes picture the Bay Area and the entrance of the San Francisco Bay with Alcatraz as well.  Various corrections of the original chart are noted from 1877 to 1885.
