This ornate and highly decorative map of Southern Italy.  It  illustrates regions largely south of the Papal States, including Sicily, Sardinia and Corsica and features five vignettes and fancy borders of the Tallis style. The map is steel engraved and depicts Mount Vesuvius, a wine festival, a village scene, a celebration and a reflecting nude.   Engraved by J. Rapkin.  Color outline.
