Nice map of Ohio and much of Kentucky plus today's West Virginia (Virginia then). The map does not show the current northern border of Ohio, which now extends north of Maumee River, vs. the slightly southern position in the map, as part of compromise reached in Congress which added the upper peninsula to Michigan in exchange for Ohio gaining a key port on Erie Lake. Expectedly, good detail of villages, courthouses and roads throughout the area that extends east just to Pennsylvania and south just into Tennessee is shown. Good topographical and watershed detail. Northern part of Indiana is not yet settled to any extend and is labeled Putawatomies and Miamis. Framed.
