A quite rare and unique and charming double hemisphere map showing very rough approximations for the Americas, including California as an island. The recent discoveries in the Pacific are highlighted in Nova Hollandia (Australia) and partial outline of New Zealand.   Terra Iesso approximates a partial land bridge between Asia and North America.  Decorative scenes representing the four elements – earth, air, fire and water -  grace the corners and wind heads are tucked between the hemispheres.  Nicely colored.
