A highly decorative nineteenth century map of Asia, dominated by Russian, Chinese Empires and British India and French Indo-China, all color outlined. The map, as with other Levasseur maps, is surrounded by hand colored, steel-engraved scenes. It includes natives in 6 small vignettes, as well as a Ruler and Adam and Eve scene together with native animals. Population statistics are shown (only 639 million in Asia) and there is a text on the region in French.
