1789 but 1870 Colles Map from NYC to New Rochelle
This is a road map showing roads just post the colonial period.  Consistent with other traveler's maps of the period, it shows about 12 miles of road in parallel strips and is believed to first appear in 1789 in C. Colles's Survey of US roads.  It is a mid 19th century production of the map in J Hardy's Manual of New York.   Uncolored on tan paper.
