A rather scarce strip map of the United States between 36 degrees and 47 degrees north latitude. The map indicates in colored outline the various alternatively proposed lines for the western, central, and eastern divisions of the Pacific Railroad, connecting with Eastern railroads.  The map includes the political/state boundaries, place names, drainage and some trails in the western half of the map.
