1792 Elwe Map of Southern Italy
This outstanding double-page map covers the 'boot' of southern Italy in considerable detail and also part of Albania and Greece, including Corfu. The title cartouche features two men taming spirited horses and angels supporting a coat of arms. The four distance scales are also enclosed in a decorative cartouche.  It is based on Sanson's geography and is from Elwe's 'Atlas'.
