This unique map of Cyprus is based on Giacomo Franco's map circa 1570. It exhibits three sailing ships, and two elaborate strap-work cartouches. The map of Lemnos in one of the cartouches was drawn directly by Ortelius. First state is believed to be published in 1573. Colored.
