This is a very nice map of the Western Hemisphere.  The northern portion of north America is awaiting 'discovery' by Westerners as is Antarctica.  Captain Cook's voyages are shown and are dated, in addition to Captains Gore and Clerke.  In South America a large Columbia is shown, including today's Venezuela and Ecuador, and a large Bolivia while Patagonia is not yet part of Argentina.  Plenty of details are offered as to topography, rivers, lakes, and settlements.  Countries are color-coded.  From A New General Atlas of the World.  Teesdale maps are increasingly scarce.
