This is a magnificent map of Western Africa, including parts of today's Libelia, Ivory Coast, Ghana, Togo, Benin, and Nigeria.  Slave trade from this region begun slightly prior to the issuance of this map.  Plenty of detail is provided as to settlements, topography, rivers, coastal features, lakes, etc.  Shown are also many native animals -- tiger, lion, hyena, elephant, monkey and crocodile.  Two ships are shown as well.  Interestingly designed distance table is on a piece of ivory held by cherubs.   Set in a page of Italian text.
