Excellent images capured as views from the two ship,  Boussole & Astrolabe, exploration by  La Perouse of parts of Alaska (south of Mt. St. Elias) and the northen half of Vancouver Island.  The ships and expedition vanished without a trace two years later somewhere in the western Pacific.  High level of detail across 23 view section on 3 pages.  These views are accompanied by two maps ("Chart of Part of the North West Coast of America Explored by the Boussole and Astrolabe..." in English and "Carte Generale d'une Partie de la Cote du Nord-Ouest de l'Amerique Reconnue par les Fregates Francaises La Boussole et Astrolabe ..." in French version)  Clear, sharp strikes.
